Message from the Photographer:
Thank you for visiting the official site of Tristan E. Dumas Photography. I really appreciate all of your support and hope that you enjoy my photography. I am not a professional photographer by any means but have been told by several people that I have a good eye for photography.
I hope that you enjoy my work and created this site as a place for me to be able to publish it for your viewing.
One of my favorite hobbies is taking pictures of all kinds of things. At this time I am not really into taking images of people professionally but I do enjoy capturing people in the moment. My favorite type of photography is landscape, lightning, and wildlife photography.
If you do like my work, I hope you will share it with others by referring them to this site or my Facebook page. Please do not illegally copy any of my images without consent. That is against the law.
About Tristan E. Dumas Photography
My name is Tristan Dumas. I am the photography/owner/CEO (or whatever job title you want to call me) of Tristan E. Dumas Photography. I guess you would say Tristan E. Dumas Photography was officially started in June 2010. After taking pictures for a friend at a local event, I wanted to put my name on the pictures I took so I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 in order to create a logo for my photo's. I started joking around with my family and friends saying I should start my own photography group on Facebook. One thing led to another and here I am now with my own little website.
A little about me, I grew up in a small town in central Utah where I had the opportunity to do go outdoors a lot while I was growing up. I have always enjoyed going up in the mountains and viewing the beautiful scenery Utah has to offer. I was always a "busy body" and could never sit still at home. When I turned 19, I served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ontario, Canada where I purchased my first digital point-and-shoot camera. I was impressed with the fact that I could take as many pictures as I wanted without wasting film. I carried my camera everywhere I went. One of the area's I served in was Niagara Falls and I had the opportunity to visit the falls quite often while I was there. I loved how beautiful they were to photograph and since then, I have always wanted to save up money to purchase a nice SLR camera but never thought I would be able to do so. After I got back from my mission, I attended college and started working. I became good friends with one of my co-workers and one day, he purchased a SLR camera which made me want one even more.
At the beginning of 2010, I finally was able to save enough money to purchase a Canon Rebel XSi 12.2 Mega Pixel digital SLR camera. This was a major upgrade for me and I was excited to begin taking pictures with it. My friend and I went on several "photo-shoots" just driving around taking nature pictures in the mountains nearby. I later had some other friends ask if I could take some family pictures for them. This added to my interest in photography. I purchased several camera accessories, including additional lenses, remotes, and other items for my camera to help take better pictures. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to practice my photography skills and take pictures of a lot of different things, including lightning, waterfalls, people, and wildlife. I was also recently asked to take photographs of my two older boys football team as they played 3rd grade tackle football. That was a pretty fun experience for me.
I hope you take a moment to view the photo's that I have taken. Please remember that all images are protected by copyright law and are copyright of Tristan E. Dumas Photography. Images should not be reproduced without written consent.
